About the Event

Basket making is an ancient craft throughout the world and it can be done incorporating different materials both natural and man-made. While making coiled vessels requires patience, it is definitely an easy, fun and addictive activity! In this 3-hour workshop, you will learn the basics of coiling, in which fibers are wound around each other in concentric rings and create, by using a simple hand sewing technique, your own woven coiled bowl.

Make in China:

Born and raised in cold Canada, Veronique is a fiber lover and a self-taught creative seriously addicted to handmade things and beautiful craftsmanship. Since 2015 she is on a mission to inspire the maker in all of us! She creates, in collaboration with other artists and artisans, limited editions of crafted objects and she hosts DIY workshops designed to get your creative juices flowing and guide you through the making of something beautiful to bring back home.
