About the Event
On International Women's Day, March 8th, SEA will be collaborating with Brits Abroad, the German Club, and Shanghai Mamas, and hosting a lunch at the Shanghai History Museum's restaurant Roof 325. At lunch, we will be having a fundraising raffle to enable women & child welfare to purchase bedding and other things required to help with the boarding school education of girls in need.
In addition, this year we would love for our guests to send in a photo and or short description of an exemplary woman who has inspired you over the years. It can be any female from best friend, mother, actress, or even abook character! All submissions welcome before February 29th- these photos and stories will be shared on the day as part of our celebration of “women uplifting women”!
There are limited places for this lunch so please set a reminder now: Tickets will go on sale February 20th. Registration closes on Thursday, February 29th at midnight.
About Roof 325:
In 2003, the main creative team of Sai Ma Catering Co., Ltd. stood out from many powerful competitors and began to integrate into this ancient and elegant building. The main creative team joined hands with the Art Museum to open a new era of Shanghai's western food industry.
Since its establishment, the company has grown up with the "Shanghai Style" Western food culture. For 17 years, it has always performed well in the fiercely competitive catering industry. It can be called a pioneer in the modern Western food industry in Shanghai and has witnessed the rapid development of Western food culture in China. Not only that, Roof 325 also has a strong sense of social responsibility and actively cooperates, participates in, and spontaneously hosts many public welfare and charity activities, and has won many honors.
In 2016, with the new owner of this historic building, Shanghai History Museum, the restaurant also decided to close for renovation, and at the end of 2017 began a new chapter in history.
This building was once the famous Shanghai Racecourse Club Building. Based on the history of precipitation, we designed the logo with the silhouette of the horse's head. The bar and the central area adopted the style of an old barn. All the designs are surrounded by the iconic beauty of People's Square.
