About the Event
Join us as we stroll in the springtime sunshine as we continue our exploration of the western part of beautiful, leafy Yuyuan Road, once home to a marvelous mix of old Shanghai residents: missionaries and revolutionaries, business tycoons and their mistresses, Nationalists and collaborationists. We will see deep lane neighborhoods, huge mansions, and even a notorious cabaret! Patrick Cranley, president and founder of Historic Shanghai, will provide us with a colorful narrative of this still-vibrant part of the city, finishing at Zhongshan Park, once called Jessfield Park, where flowers should be making their first appearances of the spring.
